Trauma recovery requires us to learn how to ‘befriend’ our defenses. Cultivating acceptance and appreciation for the instinctive defenses literally calms the nervous system, reduces stress/reactivity/dissociation, and prepares the brain for trauma processing.
NeuroPeeps help with this process by providing an externalization of the human defense system for survivors to relate to and practice with.
